It started, like a lot of these things do, with an email. Timex sent one out featuring this exact model, and one look was all it took. I knew right away I had to have it. The blue face, the black leather band, the simple Chronograph features that don't clog up the face. I knew this was going to be my next watch.
I mean come on, take a look. It's beautiful!

Putting it on for the first time, it looked even better in person than I expected. It has a solid, honest feel to it. Nothing flashy, nothing pretending to be more expensive than it is. It just works, and it looks good doing it.
The one thing worth flagging is the dial color. In the listing photos, the blue reads as a proper, noticeable blue, the kind that catches your eye. And to be fair, that's not a lie, it's just the best-case lighting. And almost certainly some hue adjusting in Light Room. In person it's a lot darker than you'd expect. Most of the time it just looks black. You really have to catch it near a window or under the sun to see that it's actually a very deep, dark blue. If you're buying it specifically because you want a blue watch that reads blue, go in knowing that.
Here it is (in all its glory) under direct sunlight:

It is more of a dark navy than that smooth, sexy blue you see in the listing.
The crystal is acrylic, and be warned, it scratches incredibly easy. A few bumps here and there and you will definitely notice some markings. Timex does state on the product page that it's an "easily polishable crystal", which is true, but that also means it's easily scratched. The crystal is huge, and definitely takes some getting used to around walls. I have had luck buffing out some early scratches with polywatch, though it hasn't been perfect.
Overall, this is an absolutely beautiful, versatile watch. Definitely recommend purchasing if you are in the market.
